If you see any suspicious Hill-Destructive activity, Let Green Army know. Together, We can fight.
Green Army is a people’s movement dedicated to the protection, restoration, and conservation of hills and mountains across India. We believe that these natural guardians of our land are not just geographical features—they are lifelines that provide water, forests, biodiversity, and cultural heritage to millions.
During his tenure as DFO Dewas, Shri P. N. Mishra visited Shankargad Hill and witnessed our small team working tirelessly to revive the once-barren mining land. His vision and encouragement on that very day became a turning point in our journey.
What started as our dream of making Shankargad green soon became his dream too. With his foresight, he gave us the idea to form a dedicated volunteer group – Green Army – and inspired us to conduct weekly activities that would bring the community together for the noble cause of hill restoration.
Today, Green Army Dewas stands strong because of his leadership, vision, and mentorship. He not only guided us but also connected us to the larger purpose – to Form National Forum for Hill Restoration.
Shri P. N. Mishra’s unwavering belief in citizen participation is the backbone of Green Army. His legacy reminds us that when government vision and people’s movement come together, barren lands can indeed be reborn as green sanctuaries.
Every moment, our hills and mountains are under threat from mining, deforestation, and unchecked urbanization. Green Army is committed to restoring these natural guardians and protecting the lifelines of our land.
