About Green Army

Green Army is a people’s movement dedicated to the protection, restoration, and conservation of hills and mountains across India. We believe that these natural guardians of our land are not just geographical features—they are lifelines that provide water, forests, biodiversity, and cultural heritage to millions.

Our Vision

To create a national awareness movement that emphasizes the importance of protecting hills and mountains, ensuring they remain green, healthy, and sustainable for future generations.

Why Hills and Mountains?

Mountains are the silent providers of life. They feed rivers, regulate climate, and protect biodiversity. Yet, due to deforestation, mining, and urban pressure, they are disappearing at an alarming rate. Green Army works tirelessly to reverse this damage by uniting people for a common cause: “Protect the Hills, Save the Future.”

Our Focus Areas

Hill Restoration

Reviving degraded and mining-affected hills through large-scale plantation and ecological rehabilitation.

Water & Soil Conservation

Preserving natural water sources and preventing soil erosion on hill slopes.

Community Engagement

Inspiring schools, colleges, local communities, and volunteers to actively participate in protecting nearby hills.

Biodiversity Protection

Safeguarding the rich flora and fauna that thrive in mountain ecosystems.

National Awareness

Expanding the conversation on mountain protection through campaigns, events, and collaborations across India.

Vision

To build a national movement for the protection and restoration of hills and mountains, ensuring they remain green, resilient, and life-sustaining for generations to come.
