Shankargarh Nagar Van, which comes under Dewas Forest Division, did a lot of work in the past years under the leadership of the then Collector Chandramouli Shukla and the then Forest Divisional Officer P.N. Mishra, due to which Shankargarh Nagar Van got a new identity. Therefore, since then till now Shankargarh City Forest has been a center of attraction for the environment and nature lovers of the city. The number of tourists is also increasing here continuously.

Collector Dewas Rishabh Gupta also reached Nagar Van Shankargarh Dewas with school children and along with planting saplings, discussed with the children about the environment. 70 saplings were planted by the children in the presence of the Collector on Shankargarh hill. Collector Mr. Gupta gave information to the students about roof water harvesting and bori dam on this occasion. Apart from the team of Green Army including SDO Santosh Shukla from the Forest Department, PN Tiwari, Sushma Nigam etc. were present.
